  1. Hello! Not exactly sure how to use wordpress, but I really enjoyed reading this post! I was thinking about taking a stab at making a timeline, and wanted to know if I could have permission to cite/use your post when making my writeup.

    • Sorry I didn’t see this until now. I’m still getting familiar with WordPress too. I’m probably too late, but go ahead and cite this. I hope you did it. I would like to see what you came up with.

  2. We know “The Guru” happens on June 1, because General How says, “In exactly two the army and navy will invade the Fire Nation on the day of Black Sun.” Since the Day of Black Sun is August 1, Book 2 ends in early June.

  3. i love your take of the timeline, this is honestly the best one ive ever found.. i am a bit confused about the lunar cycle you are using though and I would love to talk about it further.

So if we are only using the four main moon cycles, new moon, waxing, full moon and waning and if the lunar cycle is 28 days, then each moon version gets 7 days. if we start off with a full moon on december 2nd, then I am confused how we jump to a waning moon on the 19th. If the first day of the full moon is the 2nd then theres not enough days inbetween, unless its the last day of the full moon. Im not to sure how to tell how many days those moon are around for, if that makes sense lol. trying to make sense of this show has been a journey!

  4. Thanks for the great research! This timeline helped me a lot when I was writing my ATLA fanfiction. Do you mind if I translate it into my native language so more people can read it? With all credits and a link to you as the original author of course.
